Alice and Nahum Lainer School's Parenting Center has a BRAND NEW space that provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for parents and their children, ages birth-to-24-months. Most of our classes are taught by myself or our own Early Childhood Center faculty, while other offerings on our lineup, like PlayCreations and LoveBug & Me Music, are led by visiting experts. Whether you register for Parent-and-Me Yoga or our popular L'Dor V'Dor Shabbat for grandparents, you will be in the best of hands as you build your support network and grow alongside a community of fellow parents. Together, we will explore the wonders of your developing child and discuss the joys and challenges of parenting.
My teachers and I are committed to our own professional growth and stay up-to-date on all the latest trends and research in the field, which we then bring back to you. Looking for parenting articles or tips? Look no further! I have created a resource bulletin in the sidebar for your convenience that I update monthly.
One of the most impactful changes to the Parenting Center has been our selection for The First 36 Project Fellowship. The First 36 Project is a ground-breaking pilot program developed by the Simms/Mann Institute, BJE (Builders for Jewish Education) and The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. The First 36 Project offers our teachers access to the latest child development theories combined with cutting-edge neuroscience research relating to children ages 0-3, as well as strategies to help parents promote healthy connections with and resilience among their children. Our school is one of a select group of Los Angeles-area early childhood centers chosen to participate in The First 36 Project.
As Director, I am always available as a resource to Parenting Center moms and dads, so please come to me with any questions about our fabulous, developmentally-appropriate program. Whether you are a first-time parent or this is your second or third child, I invite you to stop me in the halls, pick up the phone, or email to ask me why the Parenting Center is right for you!
