Irit received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tel Aviv University in Jewish history and geography and obtained her middle school credential and MAEd from the University of Judaism (now the American Jewish University).
She was the Director of Judaic Studies at Temple Emanuel Community Day School for 12 years. In recent years, she has been part of the AJU's faculty for the Master of Education program, specializing in teacher training. She is a recipient of the Milken Exemplary Educator Award for her innovation in instruction and the field of education. Since our merge with the ECC, Irit's role has broadened to span grades ECC through eighth grade.
