In the lower school students learn to live and think like scientists.  Each year students explore concepts in life, earth and physical sciences in a hands-on manner that fosters a love for science and a deep understanding of the concepts they are learning about.  Through experimentation and exploration, students build scientific thinking strategies, knowledge of the scientific process, and learn basic science facts. Often working cooperatively in groups, they observe, measure and problem solve.  During science instruction, experiments and activities students apply math concepts and develop the ability to make and test hypotheses.
