Technology has transformed teaching through Alice and Nahum Lainer School’s vibrant learning environments. Here, we provide our students with powerful tools and experiences across the curriculum so that they are empowered to take responsibility for making important contributions to their own learning and to their learning community.
We prepare our digital natives for jobs not yet created, where opportunities for success require the ability to compete and cooperate on a global scale. Yet, in the here-and-now, we know that technology is a useful guide in the development of reading, writing, and math skills. Our School maintains a large network of more than 200 computers with both wired and wireless network access. Our pre-k classrooms have SMART Tables, and each of our K-8 classrooms has SMART Boards. The Lower School uses iPads and Chromebooks, while the Middle School is a bring your own device (BYOD) enviroment.
